Dear dance enthusiasts, patrons, supporters, and artists, we hope this message finds you well and healthy. We have been out of touch for some time and we miss being able to give you updates on the latest developments with the Wake Forest Dance Festival.
This year has been both exciting and wonderfully challenging as we entered a brand new chapter of unprecedented growth and inspiring new developments for WFDF. Our 4th season was promising to look quite different from the past three years as we explored a new and innovative way of presenting dance to our community in an intimate indoor setting. However, in light of COVID-19 and the many unknowns regarding CDC guidelines for Fall we had to put a hold on this particular project until further notice. In addition, our outdoor free and open to the public day of dance was rescheduled for the Fall of 2021. These decisions were not made lightly and we will greatly miss seeing the Festival Fall project come to fruition and witnessing the park come to life with the beauty and joy of movement. But even though we are not able to bring dance to you in a theater setting or the beautiful outdoor venue in the crown jewel of the Town of Wake Forest, please know that we are committed to our continuous support of local, regional and national artists and staying active in our community through the art of dance.
Please make sure to follow us on social media to keep in touch and to stay updated on all the latest developments for WFDF. Keep an eye out for some throwback posts as look back at all that has been accomplished in just a few years since the Festival’s inception in 2017.
Until then, stay healthy, stay safe and we will see you in 2021!
