Will Indermaur is a Swiss-American dancer and teacher based in Durham, North Carolina. A 2015 graduate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, they hold a BA in Dance Theory & Practice and Women’s & Gender Studies. From 2015 to 2017 they were a dancer with Greensboro Ballet, performing in classical and neoclassical repertoire including Mozartiana, Coppélia, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Nutcracker, and Snow White. In May 2016 Indermaur performed in New York City at the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance’s Choreographer Showcase. From 2017-2018 they were a cheerleader for the Federal Hockey League’s Carolina Thunderbirds in Winston-Salem. Indermaur has also danced as a guest artist with the Burlington Academy of Dance and Arts in their productions of Cinderella, Unto Us A Son, and The Sound of Music, and with UNCG Opera Theatre in their production of Amahl and the Night Visitors. In April 2019 they performed through the North Carolina Dance Festival at BOOM Charlotte in Lindsay Winthrop’s Protection. Currently, Indermaur is exploring the nature of gender and sexuality in classical and contemporary dance.
